Food sources include beans and legumes, chicken and beef liver, asparagus, spinach, avocado, lettuce, broccoli, orange and mango and other whole grain foods.

Vitamin B12

It helps to prevent hair loss and hair whitening. B12 is called cobalamin. It is the only vitamin that contains a trace element (cobalt). Cobalamin is only produced in animals gut. It’s the only vitamin we can’t obtain from plants or sunlight. However, plants don’t need B12 so they don’t store it. Found in clam, liver, Eggs.

Vitamin C

It is one of the highest antioxidant which can reduce all signs of ageing including grey hair. Found in Acerola cherries red peppers, guava, kiwi, goji burry and orange.

Vitamin E

It is one of the antioxidants heroes, which fights ageing as whole. Found in spinach, turnip greens, chard, sunflower seeds, almonds, bell peppers, asparagus, collards, kale, broccoli, and brussels sprouts. Olive oil, nuts, seeds are the main source of Vitamin-E.

Calcium is needed to support  hair from growth to nourishment. Found in green leafy vegetables, nuts (almonds especially), seeds (especially sesame seeds), figs, oranges, dried apricots, okra, bok choy, seafood (especially when you eat the bones like canned salmon or sardines).

It controls the sugar levels of the blood, which directly effects hair growth quantity. Many meats are good sources of chromium, particularly chicken and beef, as well as eggs. Usually, foods that have high concentrations of simple sugars, like sucrose and fructose, are low in chromium.

Zinc

This can cause many issues, among them is vitamin B12 deficiency which leads to grey hair. Found in Clams, oysters, organ meats, pumpkin and squash seeds, spinach, beef, sardines, duck, and lamb

Iodine

Iodine deficiency can cause a thyroid disease like hyperthyroidism or Hashimoto that can induce an early change in original hair colour.
